StableMates is a pet sitting company with the mission to help pet owners find great quality and trustworthy pet sitters to care for their animals. We have qualified caregivers in multiple regions to help you locate great caregivers to care for your animals on your own property. Our primary focus is providing equine care, however, our caretakers can provide care to most types of animals.

To become a caretaker, click the “Become a Caretaker” button on the homepage and complete the application. We are seeking caretakers with passion, dedication and previous experience caring for animals. If you enjoy animals and working outdoors, then please apply!

On the homepage click the button “Request Services” and complete the application for services. We will reach out to our caretakers to determine if there is any availability for the dates you are requesting and services you are needing. We will do our best to get back to you within 24-48 hrs.

Due to the wide variety of services that may be requested on a small-farm or by the pet owner, the caretaker that is available to provide care will set the quote. StableMates will provide guidance on what a fair service charge should be based on the services being requested and the amount of visits that are being requested to the property. There will be a 10% service charge added to help cover the costs for background checks and insurance for our caretakers.

Once services are completed we will release the funds to the caretakers through Venmo. If the caretaker does not have a Venmo account, we will find another way to release the money to you.

We understand things change. There is a 100% refund until 24 hrs prior to the requested start date. If services are cancelled within 24 hrs, we will refund 50% of the total cost. 

Safety fo our caretakers and for the animals and property is our number one priority. Our caretakers are insured and bonded against injury, animals and property. We ask that the pet owner please inform us and the caretaker of any precautions they should take with the animals and/or equipment. All parties involved agree to the terms of service and privacy agreement.

If the caretaker feels they need to bring someone with them for safety we do encourage this, but we do ask they remain in the vehicle while the work is being completed. We do ask for the property owner provide consent. The person you bring with you is not covered under our insurance, and should at no time provide care to the animals. There is absolutely NO smoking allowed on the premises or near the barn. If you feel unsafe at anytime, we ask that you please get to a safe place and contact StableMates, the property owner and the local authorities.
